Viveca took us on an extraordinary tour on the other side of life, to a land that time forgot'. Described as 'UrbEx' (Urban Exploration), Viveca took our members to explore many derelict buidlings through her photography. Where others see rubbish and detritus, Viveca sees stories, remnants of past lives amidst interesting textures, angles, colours, and time-worn interiors. All exposed by shafts of light through leaking roofs and broken windows. Her images exude atmosphere and generate intrigue.  Viveca began visiting derelict and abandoned buildings in 2009 and has taken hundreds of photographs. She enhances much of her work with texture overlays and uses double exposure to add extra dimension to her work.

Viveca also introduced us to the Miksang form of contemplative photography, and to her more recent iPhoneography images and project around cafe lives.   She is a self-taught, fine art photographer who was awarded an FRPS in 2014 and, as a LRPS Panel Member of the Royal Photographic Society, is part of the team involved in awarding Licentiate distinctions.
