This week's the club members were again inspired by another passionate photographer - Colin Westgate.  With over 60 years of experience, his love for landscape has not diminished and he has travelled extensively both in the UK and overseas.  In his talk, Colin took us from the south coast of England to the far north of Scotland, visiting many varied landscapes, including the Isle of Skye and the islands of the Hebrides.  His images are the result of a lot of patience, early mornings, and braving bad weather, thus making some very powerful landscape pictures.

Colin gained his FRPS in 1976 and, in 1990, was awarded the Mastership of the International Federation of Photographic Art, only the second British photographer to do so at the time.  He is a member of the London Salon and has made a major contribution to the work of the RPS.  He has exhibited throughout the world gaining numerous awards and has been a selector for exhibitions organised at home and abroad. In 1993 he established Quest, (https://www.questphoto.co.uk/about-quest) the main function of which was to provide photographic tuition, mostly based in the darkroom.  Today, Quest provides photographic holidays of which tuition and guidance are an essential part.
