Lower Antelope Canyon

This week, we had high attendance for Dr Thomas Peck, who gave a wide ranging talk on the 'sublime'.  He expertly demonstrated how the traditions of the Sublime have influenced early landscape photographers through to the modern day.  Taking examples from the work of 18th and 19th century artists through to the photographs of Carleton E Watkins, Sebastião Saldago, Ansel Adams and Hiroshi Sugimoto, as well as his own images, he demonstrates a fascinating insight into a cultural trend.
