Marcel Hug at the World Championships

Peter Milsom learned his photography at his father's knee, but as a teenager, it was athletics which took all his attention and time.  He made it to County level, but came to the realisation that he would not be able to commit the time to take it further.  So he returned to his other passion - photography and began shooting what interested him - motorsport, athletics and wildlife.   And with his interest insider knowledge of athletics it seemed a natural fit  to focus on sports photography.  His images convey the committment, the determination, the emotion, the drama, the highs and the lows, of the atheletes. He also gave us insight of what it's like behind the scenes as a photographer at the big events and how he worked his way up to being accredited and gaining access to the prime shootig positions.   See his website for more exciting images.
